The Bill Crews Remission Run 5K is a great event for great cause. Local resident and athlete, Bill Crews, is in remission from lymphoma. The mission of this run is to raise awareness about lymphoma and other cancers and to promote health and fitness in families. The goal is to help fund research and cure cancers. Several ORR athletes ran in the 5K run and had spectacular races!
Bradley Pigage finished fourth overall and third in the competitive 25-29 AG with a time of 17:31, or 5:39 min/mile pace!
Lori Culberson and
Stacy Baldridge raced in the 40-44 AG and finished very close together. Lori (who is coming back from breaking her neck, literally!) ran 30:25 and Stacy ran 30:36. That's a PR for Stacy!
Curtis Hooper finished first place in the 40-44 AG with a time of 19:46, or 6:23 min/mile pace!
Blake Henning also finished first in the 50-54AG with a time of 22:44, or 7:20 min/mile pace.
Corey Oliver finished third in the 30-34AG, and
Chris Gause finished 2nd in the 70+ women's division!! Corey ran 22:02, and Chris ran a PR 35:26. Way to run everyone!
