Austin 3M Half Marathon

Stephen Johnson, 5th in Military Divisio

On a chilly but beautiful and sunny day in Austin, Texas, OutRival Racing Team members gathered to race the famously fast 3M Half Marathon. Leading the pack at the finish line was Bob Maus who smoked the course in 1:29.  Mike Young and Stephen Johnson broke their PRs with very speedy times of 1:30:30 and 1:30:27 respectively.  Stephen was 5th in the Military Division and took home a check for $125 dollars! 

Also bringing home new PRs are Lynn Flora 2:13,  Don Harris 2:21, Shane Clotiaux 1:39, Will Featherston 1:49, and Coach Karen Maldonado who got fourth in the F40-44 with a 1:31. Tommy Behe had a very solid race after a tough few weeks full of illness and allergic reactions.  He ran a 1:42 and he was closely followed by Marcos Omelanzuc who is just getting back to training and pulled off a strong 1:47.  Michelle Wren, over-coming an injury was able to get back in the running game with a 2:11!

Team Delicious made up of Tammie Manchester and Leslie Watts won the Masters Relay Division with a combined time of 1:47 and were 2nd overall female relay team, while Team Double Trouble ‘s Melissa Rothe and Courtney Livaudais took home top honors winning 1st place Overall Female relay teams with a time of 1:40!
