Raul Luzardo and Kevin Barr raced the Xterra World Championship race last Sunday in Maui, Hawaii on Sunday, Oct. 5th. Almost 700 athletes reperesenting 28 countries and 42 US States raced in the event, which consisted of a 1.5K ocean swim, a 30K rough mountain bike, and a 10K trail run.
Raul swam 33:02, biked 2:17 and ran 1:15. Overall finishing time for Raul was 4:05:38. Raul finished 53rd in the 35-39AG. Kevin Barr, who races for ORR and Energylab swam 32:52, biked 2:45:09, and ran 1:28:22. Kevin finished 65th in the 35-39 AG.
Interesting fact: Lance Armstrong finished 20th in the pro field with a 20:59 swim, 1:21:24 bike, and 52:40 run!
