Congratulations to Coach Karen Maldonado for her fantastic finish at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii on October 8th, 2011. This was Karen's fourth Ironman in the last year and half. She race Quelle Roth Challenge in June 2010, Ironman Cozumel 2010, Ironman Texas 2011 (where she qualified for the World Championships), and Kona, 2011. Karen raced all four of these Ironmans under 11:01!
In Kona yesterday, she swam 1:06:57, biked 5:53 (or 19mph), and ran 3:46 (or 8:39 min/mile pace). Karen finished 23rd in the 40-44 Age Group. Karen races on the Mark Allen Elite Team and coaches with OutRival Racing. Way to go, Karen!!!
