Buffalo Springs: Lance, Buck, and Erica

It has been said by many that Buffalo Springs is one of the hardest half ironmans around.  The hills on both the bike and the run are steep and long, and the 100+ degree heat only adds to the challenge found in Lubbock, Texas.

Lance McLain completed the half ironman in a finishing time of 6 hours and 22 minutes. He swam a speedy 33:42, biked 3:14:53, and ran 2:24: 45.

Buck Holden competed in the Aqua Bike and had great splits in both.  Buck swam the 1.2 miles in 29:51 and biked 56 miles in 3:51:49. Buck finished 5th place overall in the Aquabike.  Next up for Buck is the PrairieMan Aquabike.

Erica Gault finished her first half ironman in 7:42:20. Erica swam 35:19, biked the windy course in 3:41, and ran the half marathon in 3:19.  Erica will be racing Longhorn 70.3 in the Fall and Ironman Lake Placid next year.

Congrats ORR Athletes!
