New Orleans (would-be) 70.3: Todd, Lynn and Karen

Todd Teren, 4th Amateur, 2nd in the 25-29AG
Congrats to three ORR athletes that raced strong at the NOLA 70.3 turned duathlon last weekend.  The high winds forced the race to become a 2 mile run, 52 mile bike, 13.1 mile run.

Todd Teren has been competing in triathlons for only one year, and finished amongst some of the top amateur and pro athletes in the race!   Todd finished the race in an overall time of 3:40:02. Todd ran 6:12 pace for the first two miles, biked 24.4 mph for 52 miles, and finished with a 1:17:37 (or 5:56 pace) half marathon! Todd finished 23rd overall, 4th age-grouper and 2nd in the 25-29AG.  Todd accepted his slot to Vegas and plans to race Worlds 70.3 there in September. Todd will be racing his first Olympic Triathlon this weekend at Kemah. Way to go and good luck this weekend, Todd!

Lynn Flora had a great (albeit last-minute) race in New Orleans. Lynn ran 9:26 min/mile pace for 2 miles, biked almost 18mph for 52 miles, and ran 2:38 for the half marathon. Way to go Lynn!

Coach Karen Maldonado had a great race too! Karen ran 7:23 pace for two miles, biked 2:30 for 52 miles, and ran 1:41:41 (or 7:46 pace) for the 13.1 mile run.  Karen finished 9th in her competitive AG!
