Buffalo Springs 70.3, Sugar Land and Y Freedom Tris, Charlevoix Marathon

OutRival Racing athletes raced really well this weekend!! The Buffalo Springs 70.3 (aka hotter-and-hillier-than-heck-half Ironman) in Lubbock is one of the toughest races around here.

Ana Rivero Lemus had a great race with a 33:38 1.5K swim, 3:12 56-mile bike, and a steady and strong run for a total time of 6:28:14. Ana stuck to her race plan and finished really well!

Sheri O'Keefe raced in a really strong field of women and finished 11th in her age group. She had solid splits in all three disciplines and finished in 6:05:10.

Erin Cook finished 17th in her age-group with a 31:58 swim, a 3:06 bike, and a 9:42 paced run. She clocked a fast 5:50:46.

Raul Luzardo completed the tough course over 20 minutes faster than he did last year! His splits were 32:19 swim, 2:56 bike, and 9:20-pace run. Overall time for Raul was 5:35:45.

Jesse Robinson finished his first half Ironman with a fast 5:30:30! He swam a speedy 25:23, biked 3:02, and ran a 9:05-paced half marathon.

There were two sprint races this weekend. At the Y-Freedom Triathlon this Sunday:
Allison Eden won her 15-19 age group (there's a pattern here?!) with fast splits in all three disciplines. She swam the 300-meter swim in 5:38, biked the 12 mile bike at 21.1mph and ran 3 miles at 8:58 pace! Her overall time was 1:08:04.

Richard Tramm improved his time from last year by over 15 minutes! He swam 6:42, biked nearly 19.9mph, and ran 10:31 pace. Overall time was 1:18:06. (photo below)

At the Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Sprint Triathlon:
Adam Currier finished his first full triathlon ever. He finished 2nd out of 45 competitors in the 30-34 AG and 10th overall out of a field of over 700! Adam swam the 300-meter swim in 4:56, biked the 10 miles at 23.8mph, and ran the 3 miles at 6:49 pace.

Mick Long raced a 3:55:22 marathon in Michigan this Sunday. That's a speedy 8:59 pace!

Way to race everyone! I am proud of all of you!
