CapTex Triathlon Results

Five OutRival Racing athletes raced in downtown Austin on Memorial Day at the CapTex Sprint and Olympic Triathlons. Sarah Gray, Adam Currier, and Bradley Pigage raced the Olympic Triathlon. Connor Barry and Jesse Balboa raced the Sprint Triathlon.

Sarah Gray finished second overall female in the Invitational Wave in a personal best 2:13:54.  Sarah had the fastest female swim and run times for the day! She swam the 1.5K swim in 19:50 and ran the 10K at 6:30 min/mile pace.  Twenty-four-year old Sarah Gray raced her first triathlon a little over a year ago and will be turning professional in the next month or so! So proud of you, Sarah! Next up for Sarah is the Bridgeland Sprint.
Adam Currier finished fifth in the 35-39 men's Age Group with a finishing time of 2:22:24. Adam swam 25:34, biked the windy 40K in 1:10, and ran 6:48 min/mile pace in the 10K. Next up for Adam is baby #2 due in early July!
Bradley Pigage raced in the Invitational wave and had a fantastic swim and bike. He swam 20:52, biked himself back up towards the front with a 1:01:23 bike, but then was forced to shut it down on the run due to a nagging hamstring injury. Bradley is racing the World Military Championships in July!
In the sprint race, phenomenal seventeen-year-old Connor Barry once again showed what he is made of. This guy can race anything!  This race had some of the toughest competition around, and Connor was able to finish fourth in the 15-19 AG and 10th overall!  Connor posted the fastest bike coming in at 21.7 mph. Connor finished the sprint race in a time of 1:11:12. Next up for Connor is the Sugarland Sprint.
Jesse Balboa set a personal best by over 14 minutes with a finishing time of 1:31.  Jesse biked 19.5 mph and had a great 5K run at 8:23 min/mile pace.  Next up for Jesse is the Austin Triathlon.
Congrats OutRival Racing!
