Cat 4 Cyclist, John Wilmeth, has put together some great race results the last few weeks! At the Michelob Ulta La Vuelta de Acadiana Omnium race in Louisiana over July 4th, John placed 8th in the TT, 8th in the crit, and 11th for the GC results. His time for the 6 mile TT was 13:47, which is 26.1 mph! John participated in the Memorial Park Crit last Wednesday, but the race was stopped due to lightening. On Sunday, John participated in the Fish Creek TT put on by the Woodlands Cycling Club. He completed 10 miles in 24:03, which is a speedy 24.9mph. Next up for John is the an individual TT and team TT this weekend as well as the State ITT and TTT races in August. Awesome job and good luck, John!
Cat 5 Cyclist, James Engle also did the Fish Creek 10 miler this last weekend, and finished strong in 25:58, which is 22.9 mph. James will be racing the Memorial Park Crit race this Sunday as well as the State ITT and TTT in August.
Triathlete Lori Culberson completed the WCC Fish Creek TT as well, with a solid 33:07. Lori is preparing for Ironman Florida in November. Way to go, Lori!
Sarah Gray and her boyfriend, Clint, competed in the Couples' Triathlon in Austin. They finished 7th overall in the "More Than Friends" category ;-)
Sarah finished the sprint race with a speedy 12:38 swim, 36:46 for the 11.2 mile bike, and a 22:30 5K run. Total time was 1:14:46. Sarah finished 17th female overall in a competitive field!
